DAY 1: Nairobi to Mount Kenya
Arise early in time to meet your tour guide, who will meet and assist you at an agreed and well communicated pick-up point (pick-up time is 6.00 am). Depart north for Mount Kenya region. Transfer to the Mount Kenya Leisure Lodge for a mid morning breakfast. Proceed with your packed lunch to the Mount Kenya National Park. Enjoy an afternoon nature trek/ hike and a scenic picnic lunch at the forest. The park is located at a distance of 5 kms from the lodge. Attractions at the park include rare plant species, high altitude wild animals, beautiful sceneries and pristine wilderness with beautiful lakes, tarns, glaciers and peaks. Later in the day, transfer to your Mount Kenya hotel/ camp/ lodge. Dinner and overnight at the Kongoni Camp/ Mount Kenya Leisure Lodge/ Naro Moru River Lodge/ Sere Enkang House/ Sportsmans Arms Hotel.
DAY 2: Mount Kenya to Nairobi
Arise early at 6.30 am and proceed to the Sweetwaters Game Reserve. Enjoy a refreshing morning game drive at the reserve. Return to your Mount Kenya camp/ lodge for a mid morning breakfast. Thereafter, depart with your packed lunch for the reserve. The 24,000 acres Sweetwaters Game Reserve is currently part of the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Formerly known as the Ol Pejeta Ranch, it was a cattle ranch for the breeding of beef cattle. The ranch was founded by Lord Delamere. Its key attractions include its rich history, the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary and the big five (the endangered black rhino species, leopard, elephant, buffalo and the lion). Activities at the reserve include visiting the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary and the Sweetwaters Rhino Reserve and enjoying a scenic picnic lunch. Having concluded your safari, embark on a journey back to Nairobi. The drop-off point is the same as the pick-up point.
